OpenHRE Releases Key Software for Connecting for Health's Common Framework

Washington DC, April 10, 2006 - at eHI's Connecting Communities Learning Forum, OpenHRE™.org announced the availability of key open source software to demonstrate the messaging recommendations that Connecting for Health developed to enable the exchange of Health Records on a nationwide basis.
This software was developed for the Mendocino HRE, which is one of the Health Markets participating in a HHS contract to prototype a Nationwide Health Information Network.
Links to a Client Test Portal web application, and the web services that it uses, are available in the Web Links/Demonstrations area of this site. This Test Client has the capability to retrieve patient records from multiple sites across the nation, and then combine them into a single, comprehensive, display.
The software itself may be downloaded as described in the Downloads/Software area of this site.
